Trey Burke Steals The Show In STACKED 2023 Ball Don't Stop Toronto Pro Am

The 2023 Ball Don’t Stop Pro Am in Toronto was an epic night of hoops. The main event of the evening was headlined by six NBA pro’s with over 2000 fans in attendance, making it the biggest Pro Am game that Canada has ever seen. The Kingdom led by 10-year vet Trey Burke, TrailBlazers guard Shaedon Sharpe, Clippers forward KJ Martin and Grizzlies big man Kenneth Lofton Jr. defeated Miami based ‘We Them Ones’ by six points. NBA All-Star and Cavs guard Darius Garland was delayed on his way to Toronto and couldn’t make it in time for tip off, putting a lot of the load for ‘We Them Ones’ on Dennis Smith Jr. of the Nets and Haywood Highsmith of the Heat. They combined for 67 points, but it just wasn’t enough.

Burke turned in a ridiculous performance, going for 53 points and setting up youngsters Sharpe, Martin and Lofton all night. Sharpe, Smith Jr. and Martin Jr. had the crowd buzzing with their thunderous dunks. Garland ultimately made it to the game and was asking for an additional quarter of play but there was only a minute left of regulation and ‘We Them Ones’ was facing an 8-point deficit. All in all, it was a historic night which saw some of Toronto’s best high school and local overseas hoopers compete in front of a capacity crowd at the Pan Am Centre. Trey walked away with the belt on this night after leading Team Kingdom to the victory.
